Bob Veach Announces his Candidacy for Circuit Judge

Robert “Bob” Veach announced his intent to run for Circuit Judge, Division 2, 5th Judicial District, which covers Franklin, Johnson and Pope Counties, in the March 3, 2026 election.  The current Circuit Judge, Gordon “Mack” McCain, is not running for re-election.

“I have devoted my legal career to family law and this Court is assigned predominantly domestic and probate cases, so I feel I have the  experience needed for this important position.  In addition to being in private practice, I previously served as a part time Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the 5th Judicial District and as the attorney for the 5th Judicial District Drug Task Force.  If elected, I will treat everyone who comes before the Court with dignity and respect.  I look forward to visiting with people during the campaign about my qualifications and asking for their vote and support.”

Veach is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University and the University of Arkansas School of Law, Fayetteville.  He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association, the Pope County Bar Association, where he serves as Vice President, and is President of the Pope County Bar Association Law Library Board.  He was previously appointed as a Special Justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court and also served as a member on the Arkansas Supreme Court’s Civil Practice Committee.

An active member of the community, Veach has served on the Boards of the Boys and Girls Club of the Arkansas River Valley, Counseling Associates, Inc, Arkansas Tech University Foundation, and is a graduate of Leadership Russellville.  He and his wife, Leigh Ann, are the parents of two daughters.
